Metal Stamping

Metal stamping delivers fast cycle times for flat and lightly formed parts in steel, stainless, and aluminium. Partform coordinates stamping tooling and production with Qingdao partners for Oceania buyers who need repeatable brackets, clips, shims, and formed sheet components from drawing or sample.

  • •Single-hit, compound, and progressive die stamping
  • •Laser cutting combined with stamping and bending where needed
  • •Materials from 0.5 mm thin gauge through 6 mm plate typical
  • •Deburr, tap, weld, and powder coat follow-up available

When stamping makes sense

Choose stamping when annual quantity justifies die investment and part geometry is stable. Clips, brackets, shims, washers, and formed panels are typical programmes.

Tooling and lead time

Tooling is quoted separately based on part complexity and expected volume. First samples are usually available after die try-out and approval before production release.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between stamping and sheet metal fabrication?

Stamping uses dedicated dies for high-volume repeat parts. Sheet metal fabrication uses laser cutting and press-brake bending — often better for lower volumes or frequent design changes. Partform can quote both routes.

Can you stamp from my existing sample?

Yes. Send the sample or a detailed drawing with material, thickness, and annual quantity so we can confirm die feasibility and per-piece cost.

Do you supply stamped parts to Australia as well as New Zealand?

Yes. New Zealand and Australia are primary markets. Quotes and documentation are provided in English through Partform’s NZ-based coordination.
